Ljóslifandi sýning á því hvernig eldgos, jöklar og jarðhiti hafa mótað og þróað landið okkar.

Hljóðinnsetning og tónverk Höllu Steinunnar Stefánsdóttur þar sem hljóðheimur skelja fær að óma. Nordic Affect flytur hljóðverkið kl. 15:00 og 16:00 laugardaginn 15. nóvember, sem birtir aðrar hliðar á skeljaeign safnsins.

We are proud to present the museum’s new name, The Nature Museum of Kópavogur, with the opening of two small exhibitions: Treasures along the Coast and Forces of Nature, on Saturday, November 15 at 14:00.

Treasures along the Coast

A precious insight into the complex world of mollusks from Jón Bogason’s collection, revealing how these vulnerable creatures have developed defenses against the dangers of the world.

Forces of Nature

A vivid exhibition showing how volcanic eruptions, glaciers, and geothermal energy have shaped and transformed our land.

From the Mysterious Voices of Shells | 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

A sound installation and soundwork by Halla Steinunn Stefánsdóttir, where the sonic world of shells resonates. Nordic Affect performs the piece at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, offering a new perspective on the museum’s shell collection
